Guest speaker
The process of this artists work was of specific interest due to the photography aspect. The developing of each photograph was incredibly well thought through yet also experimental. The fact that art was reworked to produce new images and ideas also inspired me as this resonates with art as a process and the heightened involvement of the mind and ever altering thoughts.
After this guest speaker's lecture I feel very inspired to further exhibit my work and also ideas. The concept of my work is societal interaction and behavior. Therefore for my own work to impact, I feel it must be put further into the public eye. This left me contemplating an exhibition space itself. As Ella spoke of, the interaction of work within an exhibition is massively altered by the work surrounding it and the context. Possibly interactive installation may be more useful for my own work to progress due to the need to the public to become interested with the metaphorical context.
