The limits of the possible
Extending ideas to sit on the edge of the possible- art that questions how things are done/seen, even within the art world itself.
Rene Clair Entr'acte-1924- constant experimentation to push limits of viewers experience and perception. Association with the Dada movement and the inability to fully define the movement. Therefore works such as this go toward outlining the vast disassociation within the style and conception.

'Compared to Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali’s notorious 1928 short Un Chien Andalou – a movie that is still quite shocking today – Entr’Acte is a much lighter, funnier work, one that looks to thwart bourgeois expectations of narrative logic but doesn’t quite try to shock them into indignant outrage.'
The work is interestingly compared to other, similar hybrid works of the time. This analysis is vital when regarding the wide variety of 'possible and 'impossible' being challenged not only then but now, in modern history. The modern advances constantly suggest a loss of history and a new era of constant relentless change and 'progression economically. Works such as this seemingly halt reality and plunge the general public into confusion, an aspect I admire.

Pushing the limits of the possible is so often seen as Utopian when in reality the borders are perceived as confining aspects such as the arts or societal influence. Often the 'possible' and 'impossible' within the world are perceived due to strict societal expectations and barriers. Therefore, investigating limits of the possible can link directly back to societal structure and the power hierarchy.
Although investigating the possibility of the impossible interests me, the constant push for 'forward movement' (embodied in futurism) can be problematic as it often leads to a selfish mind set. http://people.ds.cam.ac.uk/paa25/Papers/IT3_files/Anne%20Bowler.pdf
The constant and relentless to 'advance' humanity has ultimately damaged it. yet my own practice is often perceived as not possible so that aspect would be interesting to add depth to. The psychology of change along with my work to metaphorically influence strongly.

Hybrid Reflection and continuation
After developing visual poetry, overlaying audio would allow a more progressive piece. Working with the words and re-working them allows the message to be redeveloped to impact the viewer the most.  Further, practical reflection is allowed through reworking the poetry as apposed to theoretical reflection.
