The need for Poetry in Progression

Rarely do I read an article that speaks so directly to my own concerns and worries about perusing and living a life of irrelevance. The dire state of the worlds function (by man) is something that overtakes much of my life and behaviour. Therefore, when producing a photography set or a painting I begin to wonder about how vital that is when in the relevant near future, the world may not have the patience to sustain our species any longer.
However, I then remind myself that the entire concept and strength of creativity may just be the publisher of ideas needed to influence our selfish social and economic structure. My interest in writing has always been great due to my inability to understand numbers well. The deepening relationship with words lead to admiration of great speeches, books and poetry. Therefore, the combination of poetry within my own practice could possibly strengthen it and ensure an emotion dwells within the reader. Although arts lasting cognitive effect has been found in psychological studies, poetry is a similar concept. Yet also, and more pivotal, may strike even more consciousness due to the ability to understand the words directly.
