Own practice- 'The minds trace'
Nature
I piped onto wood to create raised images, I then topped these with resin. This is a new material that I continued to use after experimentation. These works are best viewed in bright light as this emphasisies the reflective quality. The black pattern on the side of the turquoise work has juxtaposition with the tree within the first work.
The Minds Trace
New material work with influence, drawing ties between the 'mind's trace' and nature. Two works that function in parallel to show how the idea of 'the minds trace' and the ties with nature, specifically trees and the bark. The lines of which, branches and twigs move together much like aspects of our subconscious and everyday thoughts/brains functioning.

This starts to build a picture of nature and how closely this ties with the mind. Above is an example of this with the universe and a brain cell. This was the image that inspired em to produce work that was very similar and drew parallels between the natural world and our minds.
