Figured Fabric Exhibition meeting and planning
The below plan is a rough outline of how the exhibition is being organised and put together. We are advertising the material squares that will be completed by the artists and then make up the exhibition work. On the opening night individuals will be asked to interact with the work and continue the tactile involvement. This project has been very stressful so far as my fellow organisers are either not interacting enough or they are becoming overbearing with their control. I am trying to keep things flowing well and steadily however it is difficult when some parties do nothing and other parties are over complicating things.

• 1st Feb, 18 - Opening Night
• 7th Feb, 18 - Dismantling of Exhibition

• This will be sent out to all FA students by email on Monday 19th Nov. via Craig
• Jo, Laura and Sita will be points of contact via student email.
• Advertise by word of mouth important by all of us. Talking to artists in studios, at the beginning or end of workshops, group tutorials or lectures.
4. General Administration. JO
• Taking and posting of meetings on Group Page
• Costings and preparing of fabric squares
• Preparing and printing of GUIDELINES
• Collection and recording of Funds - outgoings and incomings. (funds will cover fabric squares and printing – it may stretch to some food for opening night.)
• Collection and recording of Participant Details
• Keeping participants informed of due dates etc.
• Recording nos. of squares handed out.
5. Responsibilities of Organisers: JO, LAURA, SITA, ALVEERA
• Constant verbal promotion to all FA year groups and other courses ie textile design, fashion etc.
• Collecting money 50p for each square (up to 3 squares per participant)
• Collect participant details - tear off from bottom of guidelines and hand to JO
• PLEASE DO NOT HAND OUT SQUARES WITHOUT COLLECTING MONEY AND DETAILS

9. Sewing squares together
• Suggestions were that we all take certain quantities of squares home and sews them together.
• Bring together and sew bigger pieces together
• Get friends involved to make task easier
• Add clear squares around edge of quilt/tent so that attendees on opening night can complete these and the project continues to be interactive.
10. Making of booklet SITA
• Sita will take responsibility for this when the time comes
