FIGURED FABRIC MEETING – 18TH JANUARY 2018

1. ORGANISERS
2. IMPORTANT DATES:

• DATE CHANGE – Hand now up to 31st January – to give people time to make fabric pieces

• Hanging Date – 1st February, 2018

• Opening Event – Tues. 6th February 2018 – 5.30pm – 7.30

• Take down – 7th February, 2018 or after Opening event

2. ADVERTISING OF PROJECT: LAURA.

• Reform advertisement for Call to Artists – send to Craig for FA1,2,3 : There is still time to make pieces

• Send out messages on Messenger FA1,2,3 MESSENGER - Oliver FA1, Laura FA2, Jo FA3

• Send email to each participant with important dates Jo

4. GENERAL ADMINISTRATION. JO

• Jo has recorded all participants and numbers etc and given a copy to Sita, Oliver and Laura. (SEE LIST BELOW)

• Jo will find out from Craig or Carl how to get a PDF booklet out to all participants. JO

• Jo to sort out outgoings and incomings – Laura still to be paid £1.50 and Jo for material – balance will go towards food

5. RAFFLE

• We have decided not to do the raffle. Unfortunately, most places want to know which charity it is going to and didn’t feel that students fitted into this category.

6. RESPONSIBILITIES OF ORGANISERS: JO, LAURA, SITA, OLIVER

• Constant Verbal and Social Media Communication

7. ADVERTISING OF EVENT AND OPENING EVENING

• Individual emails to each participant JO

• Reformed NOTICE to be sent via CRAIG, CARL AND GILL (textiles) LAURA

8. FOOD FOR OPENING - to be discussed

9. PHOTOGRAPHING AND FILMING OF SUBMISSIONS – Oliver

• Oliver will start photographing pieces, photoshopped and sent to Sita to make up PDF file booklet when they are handed in

10. DISPLAYING OF SQUARES

• Jo produces drawing of her ideas to hang. All agreed. We will also use Sita’s suggestion of hanging some of them downwards

• We will hang with clothes pegs

• 3 tables and 3 sewing machines needed

• Wire to string across space

• Laura suggested we have an interactive area.
