INSTAGRAM CREATION//purpose

Instagram made as a type of research work in itself to investigate how research feeds fluidly into the artists practices. 

This instagram has been designed and created with the purpose of allowing the research to be accessible to as many people as possible. It seems ironic to have a research exhibition that doesn't fully integrate online sources. As these are so heavily used today, further to this our work for the past units and this one are to be submitted digitally in many cases, meaning that a lot of work is already digitalised. This instagram account is therefore providing a platform for the viewer to see what has been happening with regard to the exposition run up along with running a 'research platform' to allow sharing of sources and material. It will also showcase pieces of work as they are being produced and the processes that go into that also, as this is a type of experimental research in itself. I had the ide to make this instagram and have been the curator running it also, this was mainly due to the fact the others have been in Amsterdam and unable to commit to production. This is understandable and the timing of this exhibition has thrown up many issues already. However, having social media has allowed easier communication. Extending this through the instagram account furthers this and allows promotion over the easter holidays. As many people may not be checking emails.
