26th March-

'How text lives'
Exposition Text// first draft

The modern world sees a list of troubles that seems to be expanding. Western abuse of power and the consumer capital throws shade over some of the most vulnerable people in the world, not to mention our environment. Capitalism swamps the senses in an unavoidable haze. This collaborative exposition is an investigation into the ways that the art world have fallen ill to this also. Elite language plagues many texts marginalising so many, disallowing them to gain the information they need to be validated by the institution. The 'cultural industry' that the text discusses is an undesirable destination for many artists now, corporate funding and vested interests have squeezed the middle of the art world into non-existence. This collaborative, multi-sense exposition embodies solidarity against this prevailing consumer capital. New resilience are needed, harnessing creative power and asking questions of how together we may progress. Three artists have worked collaboratively to re-image how text lives and the way in which information interpretation could be redesigned in a more effective way.
