There isn't that much online about these artists. Therefore going to see their work first hand would be very beneficial.
Discussion of work//Continuation and plans-
-'How text lives' exposition discussed as well as work that it contained/collaborative efforts
-Work for 'Each to their own' exhibition at firstsite, planning//experimentation//outcome
-Processions work
- studio practice- flag/banner work planned for tomorrow- 'footage of silence' what the flag sees/hears- looking outward/inward
In this tutorial discussion of my work was extensive and it was really good to show everything I have been up to. Especially considering the digital submission that will be happening for this unit. The discussion regarding my experimentation with print, textiles, banners and flags was probably the most fertile of the meeting. I discussed my plans to suspend the work at a rural location to make commentary on the outward looking work or inward looking work.

'I’ve always been taken by Deleuze and Guattari’s image of the child singing to himself in a moment of fright—the song-like refrain he sings being shelter, being form, being order, being the beginning, more darkly, of territory. And then that command of Deleuze and Guattari’s, at the end of their chapter on the subject: “Deterritorialize the refrain.” Quinn Latimer- 'Young girl reading group' http://brand-new-life.org/b-n-l/ygrg/
