Choose a spray, spray in mouth, eat edible text
This work was based on the notion that neoliberal structures produce a bitter sweet world. The way in which it is a lucky dip what you will get. The information and system will be consumed regardless yet the way in which this happens will differ greatly. I feel this work was very effective, the interaction level was very high also. Each viewer was willing to participate and once explained so many commented on how the work was 'thought out' or 'considered' while also being clever and poking fun at the system. I wrote the text out on the paper by hand multiple times so there would be enough for everyone. I wanted this work to confuse people as well as encourage participate. The two sprays were lemon juice and fruit shoot. one very sweet one very sour. The contrast here was noticeable as some people tried both sprays. Prior research into edible art threw up a number of interesting contexts to the work. Food art is explored quite readily yet art that is actually consumed is slightly more rare.
